How to clean your Cordura bag or backpack

How to clean your Cordura bag or backpack

We recommend these steps for quick cleaning if your bag has been subject to wet, muddy roads, or dusty commutes.  For the Cordura bags you can also follow Steps 1 and 2 as a pre-wash before putting the bag through a short machine wash at no more than 40° temperature. This method can be used on all colours. DO NOT USE ON WAXED CANVAS - see separate post "How to care for your Waxed Canvas Bag"

Note: The materials used by ILE have a robust, dirt repellent finish but if your bag is subject to continuous daily use you may find that it occasionally needs a little assistance to maintain its looks and stylish finish.

1. Mix warm water with a soap of your choice. Dish soap works well, but we prefer Dr. Bronner's Castile soap--makes your bag smell nice too!
2. Use a soft brush to loosen dirt. Gently brush dirt off zipper teeth, and be sure to wash webbing as well to keep it sliding smoothly through the buckles. Rinse thoroughly.
3. Hang upside down to ensure the water escapes between the liner and the body of the bag. @ Inside Line Equipment
